I am very happy to join Keely, bP and Co as a guest creator on LL30 Sims.

It's an honour to be here, especially as I only recently learned to create custom content and before now, I have never been brave enough to share my pixel people (other than to hide them away on a Yahoo group).

While I love to make and play with sims, my other love is making default skintones and eyes and sharing them with the simming community.

Since the content I like to make fits in well with the Maxis-match and unique sims themes of this site, Keely has kindly invited me to share my stuff here.

FAQ:

How do I download / install your content?

The content is in .rar files and requires the use of the WinRAR program to extract the files. Objects and bodyshop content (clothing, makeup, genetics, etc) are to be extracted as .package files to your downloads folder (C:/My Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads/ - replace C:/ with the appropriate drive name). Sims and houses are in .sims2pack format and need to be double-clicked to open them, where you can then follow the content organizer prompts for installation. I strongly recommend the use of the Sims2Pack Clean Installer that is available from Mod The Sims 2.

What programs do you use to make stuff?

SimPE to extract in game born Sims and make default skintones and eyes. The Bodyshop program that is packaged with the game to make and package new sims, as well as to extract skintones in preparation for making default files. PaintShop Pro to convert and edit texture files when creating skintone and eye recolours.

What are your Sims packaged with?

My Sims will generally come to you with Maxis hair and clothing. If you see a Sim you like but don't recognize the Maxis clothing it's probably because you do not have the expansion or stuff pack. Not to worry, the Sim you grab will default back to the base game hair and clothing for your pixelated person so you don't have to worry about the Sim not working, etc. In some cases, CC (custom content) hair, makeup or clothing will be included. if the original CC creator allows sharing. If it appears in the preview but cannot be shared, I will provide links to the items you see in the preview pictures.
