Hasse is a girl/woman who appears in the book ‘Hasse Simonsdochter’ written by Thea Beckman. With her black hair, fierce dark eyes and striking personality she looks nothing like her brothers and sisters. Therefore her parents think she’s a ‘change-child’ (literally translated).

That means that the reed-elves laid her in the crib and took the original child. Because her parents are sure that this has happened they treat her very badly in the hope someday the reed-elves will take her back in change for the original child. When Hasse has enough of the bad treatment she goes to her hut in the reed. Sometimes she stays there for days or even for weeks. She lives of the things she catches while hunting and in this way she becomes a great hunter who can kill animals in a way they hardly feel any pain. She doesn’t like violence though, she’s a very loving person.

(This is just the beginning of the book. I’m not going to tell you the whole book, because this Sim is based on the Hasse of the book, but I didn’t make her exactly the same.)

Hasse is the happiest when she is outside in the woods or by a lake with reed, free from rules and boundaries. When she was little she always went to the reed because she believed that the reed-elves really existed and they might take her back someday to where she belongs and that she could finally live a happy life. When she got older she knew better: they don’t exist. But is that really true?
